Madeira is heated as it ages, which results in the oxidation necessary for the wines desired flavors and colors. Historically, as these barrels were shipped from Madeira to the New World, the heat of the tropical sun sped up this process, creating an uncommonly delicious wine. For our third Cellar Collection Release, weve chosen the sun and barrel icon to honor the old craft and celebrate new discoveries.
